D.Skaleos ImageDimitris Skaleos, Partner

Mechanical engineer with Master’s degree in Business Administration (Tepper School of Business – Carnegie Mellon University). Athens College high school – Class of 1985. Certified “Financial Analyst” from the Hellenic Capital Markets Authority. Seasoned executive in international business development and cross-border M&A transactions with over 18 years experience in senior positions with Greek and multinational corporations. He has held senior positions as CFO of Hellenic Post SA, Business Development Manager at GE Capital and Corporate Planning Executive at Daimler-Benz AG as well as Corporate Finance Director at Greek brokerage firm Beta Securities. He has served at the BoD of listed Jumbo S.A. and Hellenic Post S.A. and he is a Member of the Board of Hellenic Credit Risk Management Association since 2009. He founded Sigmacatalyst Partners to focus on strategic M&A advisory and project financing in 2010.

Dimitris has a Masters Degree in Metallurgy & Industrial Engineering form MU Leoben/Austria and an MBA in Banking & Finance form Cass Business School, London/UK. He has 18 years experience in Banking, as he has worked for Eurobank, Credit Agricole and Alpha Bank in Non Pefroming Loans Management, Risk Management and Leasing. He has also worked as Financial & Marketing Analyst at American Bureau of Shipping Services and as Project Engineer at Siemens VAI. He recently teamed up with Sigma to assist in international assignments as NPL, corporate restructuring and workout strategies expert.

Alexandros has a Bachelors Degree in Accounting and Finance from The American College of Greece (Deree College). He has almost 30 years of experience in the food industry in Greece and in the USA. He has worked in food production, sales, promotions, marketing, branding, e-commerce, social media, imports, exports. He has worked as a consultant in expanding sales as well as business development in the US Market for food and non-food products. Alexandros joined Sigma Catalyst Partners as Senior Advisor in January 2016 and is currently responsible for business development in export oriented food/agri products sector.

Maria is a lawyer with a degree from the University of Athens and has studied courses of Economics and Finance in the American College of Greece (Deree College). She specializes in corporate, banking, finance, compliance and contract law. She has worked for Alpha Bank as a Corporate Governance Expert and Legal Consultant to the Secretary of the Board of Directors, while dealing with the Proxy Advisors and participating in the working  groups with international consulting companies in order to best communicate to investors the corporate governance framework. As a Lawyer, in Alpha bank and law firms such as Tsibanoulis & Partners, she dealt with legal issues regarding investment firms and hedge funds’ structure and transactions, asset declaration, anti money laundering, data protection, intellectual property as well as drafting and negotiating contracts. She worked at WIND as a GDPR expert during the implementation of the Regulation. She has joined Sigma in 2019 as external legal advisor.
