Maria is a lawyer with a degree from the University of Athens and has studied courses of Economics and Finance in the American College of Greece (Deree College).

She specializes in corporate, banking, finance, compliance and contract law.

She has worked for Alpha Bank as a Corporate Governance Expert and Legal Consultant to the Secretary of the Board of Directors, while dealing with the Proxy Advisors and participating in the working groups with international consulting companies in order to best communicate to investors the corporate governance framework.

As a Lawyer, in Alpha bank and law firms such as Tsibanoulis & Partners, she dealt with legal issues regarding investment firms and hedge funds’ structure and transactions, asset declaration, anti money laundering, data protection, intellectual property as well as drafting and negotiating contracts.

She has worked at WIND as a GDPR expert during the implementation of the Regulation. She supports Sigma in legal matters as external advisor since 2019.
