Archirodon-Intrakat-Envitec announced as the preferred bidder for the Serres waste management PPP project

ESANS S.A., the contracting Authority of Serres announced the conclusion of the international tender for the implementation of the new waste treatment unit in the Region.

The contractor will undertake the design, financing, construction, maintenance and operation of the facilities for the intergraded waste management system (90.000tons). 

The Serres Waste Treatment Plant is an investment of 30 million euros and will create more than 150 jobs during the construction period and more than 60 permanent jobs during the 27 years of operation. It is also the second PPP project in Greece that combines resources and EU funds. 

The construction period is estimated at 22 months.

Mechanical recycling and composting will be applied as management methods.
